This soup is AMAZING. Really fresh, and the flavors are out of this world. People say the best part of collard greens is the pot likker – old southern wives tales are that it’s the only medicine you need to cure whatever ails you. So in this soup, we start with chunks of lean ham, and we add both crowder peas and black eyed peas, my delicious collard greens, and chunks of red potato. But the broth stays super light and it’s got a tang of a little vinegar. Once you try it, it will become on your must have list of great foods. Don’t forget the cornbread for dunking!
Reheat on top of stove until hot
