How it all started

It all began on the sidelines of a middle school baseball game. As parents cheered for their kids, the conversation shifted to something all too familiar—dinnertime stress. Many parents admitted they were exhausted and unsure of what to cook that night. That’s when Peggy spoke up, sharing her love for cooking. She jokingly suggested that she should just make extra meals for her friends, and they could pitch in for the ingredients and add a tip if they enjoyed it.

What started as a casual idea quickly gained enthusiasm. Parents loved the thought of having delicious, home-cooked meals without the hassle. Soon, Peggy found herself preparing extra portions regularly, and demand kept growing. She realized she had the opportunity to turn her passion into something more—a business built on providing high-quality, homemade meals to busy families who truly appreciated them.

And so, Davenport’s Daily Delights was born! What began as a small favor among friends blossomed into an official business, complete with proper licensing, a commercial kitchen, and an amazing team of assistants. Today, we’re proud to offer fresh, flavorful, and comforting meals that bring families together—just like Peggy always envisioned.
